1. The question could have been about what to do with Daniel's stuff since he's un-officially moved in with Jack. So, that would explain why Carter would be there for moral support. - Arien
2. Daniel was pressing to have the commissary provide donuts instead of the "heathly" (okay, mildly heathly, since Jack had Fruit Loops) food. He was trying to bring Jack on board for a boycott, Sam had already agreed. - Karasu
